July 15, 2021 Prayer Letter

Dear Friends,

Psalms 89:15-18 "Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance. 16 In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted. 17 For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted. 18 For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king."

It is hard to believe the year is half over! The time and miles have flown by. We have witnessed the blessings of the Lord in the meetings we have had. From the time we picked up the Truck with the new motor, we have been rollin', rollin', rollin' down the trail!

There is no way to share with you all of the blessings we have experienced thus far in this exciting year! Let me just share a few. We were honored to be at Temple Baptist Church, El Dorado, KS, Pastor Ron Jones. What a joy to see people who were serving the Lord when we were on staff in the 80's! My IPad that I have had for many years for the lyrics of the songs I sing, died on Sunday afternoon. The gracious people gave a Love Offering to get a new 12.9" IPad. Thank you Temple Baptist Church! Now I can really see the words! We were also p1ivileged to be at Berean Baptist Church, Council Grove, KS, Pastor Billy Klyger. While I was preaching the message, a young man on the second row raised his hand. I stopped and asked what he needed and his answer was, "Can I get saved?" I told him yes and let the pastor take him in the other room where he trusted Christ. When he came to tell me about it, he said, "I saved myself!" I shared with him that God saved him and I was excited for him. A young girl was also saved in that service. God is good! We had a pastor tell us that when God provided the finances needed for the new motor, that it happened so fast their church didn't have a chance to get involved, so they gave us seed money for a new truck! Wow! We have had other churches as well as individuals who have also gotten involved. God has the right truck out there! We still can't thank everyone enough who helped us get a new motor.

We have also been honored to minister in churches in North Carolina, Michigan, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Ohio, Illinois (including our home church in Galesburg), South Dakota, and Wyoming where we are at this time. We have been thrilled to see God work in hearts in response to the word of God. God is the one who keeps the tally book, and it sure is exciting to witness the moving of the Holy Spirit in services and people's lives.

Explanation of the pictures below:

  1. While in the UP of Michigan, Sandy wanted a desk built out of a filing cabinet in our camper. So she now has her own desk and even though I built it, I am not allowed use it! ( see picture)
  2. While in Genoa, IL, I was invited to go fishing on Lake Michigan for salmon. It was my first time to be on a Charter fishing boat and fish like we did, but it was a blast! I enjoyed the Christian fellowship and the trip. Thank you Pastor Zach Davis and First Baptist Church.
  3. During the Dress Western Night of the Revival at Victory Baptist Church, Beaver Creek, Ohio, Pastor Willian Keen, the picture below was taken of all of the men in their hats. We had a great week and many blessings.
