“He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust…” Psalms 91:4. What? God has feathers? Maybe God wants us to stop and exercise our brain a little bit.

  1. The strongest muscle in the body of a bird is the muscle attaching the wing to the breast. So…that would be God’s stronghold; a place of protection.
  2. The softest feathers are the down feathers beneath the wings of a bird. So…this place is a place of comfort.
  3. This place is close to the heart. So…you would be close enough to hear the very heartbeat of God.

Wow! Wither it is God’s wings or his arms, there is no other place I would rather be…than protected, comforted and close to God’s heart.
