Dear Friends,
Hebrews 12:1,2 “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
If there was one thing I learned when I ran track, it was to never lose sight of the finish line and run the race set before you. We must do that in this age of craziness and panic over the COVID - 19 virus. Though there is concern about health issues, we who know the Lord must remember to keep our eyes on the Lord and trust Him! He is still on the throne!
This year of 2020 has gotten off to a great start. It began with a Revival in Stratford, TX; then on to Edgewood, NM where we enjoyed blessed services; and then on to Deming, NM. We were honored to have part in their Mission Sunday and rejoiced in 2 adults receiving Christ as Lord and Saviour. The rest of January and most of February were in churches in Amado, Arivaca, Coolidge, Florence, Glendale, and Wickenburg, AZ.
While in Glendale, I was honored to speak to the elementary classes of a Christian Academy about the opportunity I had to ride with the Re-ride of the Pony Express in Wyoming in 2014. They had been studying the Pony Express as a part of the history of our nation. It was a fun time to speak about the dedication of the riders and the covenant they signed to ride.
When we stopped by home for a few days we got to be a part of the services at Bible Baptist Church in Woodward, OK. While home we also received some encouraging notes from a children’s Sunday School Class of Chapel Street Baptist Church, Landis, NC. The picture only shows a couple of them, but the encouragement was a great bless-ing to us.
We started this month at Fellowship Baptist Church, Garden City, KS where our ministry began. September 23, 1976 was the day I went on staff with my preacher/mentor, Loyd Gross. I had the honor to serve the Lord at FBC for 4.5 years. It was good to preach and sing for the morning services and then be at Victory Baptist Church, Lakin, KS that night. We attended the Home Mission Conference in Englewood, CO, and we have enjoyed ministering in churches located in Wetmore, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Fowler and Trinidad, CO.
Thank you for your prayers. We are excited to serve the Lord!
His servants,
Greg & Sandy
