Dear friends,
“Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.” Psalms 75:1
We appreciate each of you and ask that you continue to pray for us. I believe you would have to agree we live in tumultuous and interesting times. We are all experiencing the pains of a sinful world including our government, war and rumors of war, as well as the prices of everything going up from the stores to the FUEL PUMPS! But, we have much to be thankful about.
We are excited to share the blessings God has given us so far this year:
- The truck is still running and going down the road! We are still praying that God will provide another truck (2015-2016 GMC diesel 1 ton dually). God has already provided $4,000 towards that, Praise the Lord! We are waiting on God.
- When we arrived in Amado, AZ in January, we discovered there had been a sex trafficker blow through the church property with the Border patrol in pursuit and took out a large portion of their barbwire fence separating State property from the Church property. So, I was honored to build their fence back as well repair some of the holes. (see picture)
- In Arivaca we met a 23 yr. old young man, Erik, from Yonkers, New York who is a filmmaker doing a documentary on small rural churches. Following the morning services the pastor and myself were honored to lead him to the Lord. Wow, what a change took place in the days to follow! (II Corinthians 5:17) He had never heard of an evangelist so he asked if he could do a film profile on me. (poor guy) (see picture)
- While parked at Fairhaven Baptist Church, Coolidge, AZ, I pulled out my steel sawhorses to do some work. Instead of setting them upside down to pull out the legs, I turned it over and the legs flew out and smashed my fingers on both hands! The left hand took most of the blow. Thank the Lord they were not cut off and I was still able to play guitar and sing that night at services. I will probably loose the nails on 3 of the fingers. I have taken great care to explain to the churches that I DO NOT wear nail polish and I am not Goth! (see picture)
God has been so good to us and given many blessed opportunities to preach, sing, Sandy sharing some of her Readings she wrote as well as speaking to Ladies’ groups. We are thankful for the pastors and their families who are faithfully serving the Lord. It has been a great honor to serve with them. We look forward to the rest of the year.
His servants,
Greg & Sandy Waggoner
Thank you for your faithful support of Prayers!
